Henry Richard MP<\/strong> (3 April <a rel=nofollow title=\"1812 in Wales\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1812_in_Wales\">1812<\/a> \u2013 20 August <a rel=nofollow title=\"1888 in Wales\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/1888_in_Wales\">1888<\/a>), <em>the Apostle of Peace<\/em> was a Congregational minister and <a rel=nofollow title=\"Wales\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Wales\">Welsh<\/a> <a rel=nofollow title=\"Member of Parliament\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Member_of_Parliament\">Member of Parliament<\/a> 1868-88. The son of the Rev. Ebenezer Richard (1781\u20131837), a <a rel=nofollow title=\"Calvinism\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Calvinism\">Calvinistic<\/a> Methodist minister, Henry Richard is chiefly known as an advocate of peace and international arbitration, having been Secretary of the <a rel=nofollow title=\"Peace Society\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Peace_Society\">Peace Society<\/a> for forty years (1848\u201384).
