‘Such an infamous wretch ne’er existed… nor ever will again’. It refers to Sir Herbert Lloyd of Peterwell, the Squire of what was once the magnificent mansion of Ffynnonbedr or, in English, Peterwell. Situated a mile or so outside the town of Lampeter in Cardiganshire.
